Public Urged to Avoid Unauthorized QR Codes and Personal Accounts for Nepal Flood Donations
Kathmandu, Nepal: The Prime Minister’s Secretariat has issued an urgent warning to the public, cautioning against contributing to unauthorized donation drives for the victims of the recent Bhotekoshi floods in Rasuwa.
The Secretariat has received reports that some individuals, groups, and organizations are collecting funds through unauthorized QR codes and personal bank accounts, falsely claiming the money is for the flood victims.
The government has established official channels for donations, and the Secretariat urges all donors to contribute only through these designated official bank accounts. Under the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund, contributions can be made through the following approved commercial bank accounts:

The Bhotekoshi floods have caused significant damage in Rasuwa, displacing families and destroying homes. The government is working tirelessly to provide relief and support to the affected communities.
The public is requested to report any suspicious donation activities to the nearest police station or the Prime Minister’s Secretariat.
