Shelton police ask public’s for help in search for fugitive
SHELTON, CT — Shelton police are seeking information regarding the location of an “armed and dangerous” fugitive from justice.
In a news release Wednesday, police said the department, in coordination with the U.S. Marshals Service, is seeking the public’s help locating Daniel Reid, 39, a “convicted felon and career illegal narcotics distributor with an extensive criminal history.”
Police said they hold active warrants for Reid’s arrest on charges related to “multiple narcotics and firearm offenses.”
Anyone who sees Reid is warned not to approach him and call 911 instead, as he may be armed and dangerous, according to police.
Police also noted anyone found harboring Reid in an attempt to evade law enforcement “will be subject to arrest.”
Anyone with information regarding Reid’s location is asked to contact the Shelton Police Department at 203-924-1544, or email Christopher.Nugent@SheltonPolice.org.
All tips will remain confidential, police said.
