Two Sherpas missing after avalanche on Annapurna
KHUMBU – An avalanche on Mount Annapurna in Nepal has left two Sherpas missing. The incident occurred between Camp 2 and Camp 3, where the Sherpas were carrying oxygen cylinders for climbers preparing to summit the mountain. The missing Sherpas have been identified as Rima Rinje Sherpa and Ngima Tashi Sherpa.
Search and rescue teams, including helicopters, have been deployed to locate the missing climbers. However, no signs of them have been found so far. The avalanche has also disrupted the climbing route, forcing many climbers to descend or be airlifted to safety.
