President Trump administration cancels NYC $9 traffic fee
NEW YORK– President Donald Trump’s administration stopped New York City’s plan to charge drivers for entering Manhattan. The plan started on January 5, 2025, and charged most vehicles $9 during busy times to reduce traffic and raise money for public transportation.

The federal government, led by Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, canceled its approval of the plan, saying it was too expensive for working people and small businesses.
