United Sherpa Association (USA) Inc. announces new executive board for 2025-2027 in inspirational oath ceremony

NEW YORK – In an event that radiated pride and unity, the United Sherpa Association (USA) Inc. officially inaugurated its newly elected Executive Board Members for the term 2025-2027 during a heartfelt oath ceremony.

The occasion was a testament to the vibrant spirit of the Sherpa community and their commitment to preserving culture while fostering growth and inclusivity.

At the helm of the new leadership is Mr. Er. Temba Sherpa, who has been re-elected as President for another two-year term. His unopposed re-election is a reflection of the trust and confidence placed in him by the community. Known for his exemplary leadership and dedication, Mr. Sherpa has been a key figure in advancing the association’s goals and supporting the Sherpa community’s cultural heritage and well-being.

Accompanying Mr. Sherpa is a dedicated team of individuals who have stepped forward to take on various roles within the Executive Board. The new leadership team includes:

– **Vice President/Sports Coordinator** – Pasang Sherpa (Pinasha)
– **General Secretary** – Mr. Lhakpa Tenji Sherpa
– **Treasurer** – Mr. Dorjee Sherpa
– **Joint Treasurer** – Mr. Mingmar Sherpa
– **Spokesperson** – Mr. Phara Dendi (Lama) Sherpa
– **Rigsung (Cultural Center) Coordinator** – Mr. Pemba Sherpa
– **Public Relations Coordinator** – Mr. Pasang Salaka (Jiri)
– **Religious Coordinator** – Mr. Ngawang Jimpa Sherpa

The position of Secretary (NSSP) remains open, with announcements regarding this and other executive roles expected soon.

Adding to the celebration, Mr. Nima Sherpa, former Secretary and Media Coordinator, as well as the current Sherpa Kyidug webmaster, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected members through a Facebook post.
