Nepal PM Karki appoints three new ministers to the Cabinet
KATHMANDU– Nepal’s new Prime Minister, Sushila Karki, has expanded her Cabinet by appointing three new ministers. This comes after major protests led to the removal of former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
The new ministers are:
• Kulman Ghising – Minister of Energy, Urban Development, and Infrastructure
• Om Prakash Aryal – Minister of Law and Home Affairs
• Rameshwor Khanal – Minister of Finance
Prime Minister Karki said her government will focus on peace, justice, and preparing for national elections by March 5. She promised not to misuse power and to serve the people with honesty.
In another historic move, Savita Bhandari Baral has been named Nepal’s first female Attorney General, replacing Ramesh Badal.
This Cabinet change is seen as a step toward rebuilding trust and improving leadership in Nepal.
